COVID RESOURCES:
Updated guidelines for our Zion families per the Oregon Health Authority & Benton Co. Health. Please use these flowcharts to assist you in navigating any quarantine or close contact with any positive cases. As always, we will do our best to communicate with each of our families & staff members when a positive case has been identified.
Zion recently updated our Masking & Quarantine policy due to Oregon Dept. of Education and Oregon Health Authority’s changes. Please see the updates:
The key points are:
~Zion will no longer require masking in school buildings. However teachers will partner with parents who still wish to have their child wear a mask during the school day.
~Covid cases will no longer be required to be traced or documented but should a student or staff member come into contact with a positive Covid case, they will be alerted.
~Students & staff, regardless of vaccination status, who come into contact with a positive Covid case will no longer be required to quarantine unless symptoms arise.
~Students or Staff that test positive for Covid must quarantine for 5 days or until fever free for 24 hours without the use of fever-reducing medication. After 5 days-those individuals must mask for days 6-10 in order to minimize exposure to others.

Early Learning Center-Health & Safety Plan (2020-2021 Plan)-
Zion will be monitoring the state & county metrics closely. These can be found on the Oregon Health Authority’s COVID Homepage. You may also see them on the Benton County website for more specific county information.
Zion will implementing an After Hours Cell phone. Should your child show any sign of illness (COVID like or other) after 4pm please contact the After Hours Cell. Our office staff will manage that information & communicate with the teacher. (541) 974-8843
