Infants
The Tiny Turtles room is for children ages 6 weeks to about 15 months.
The Early Learning Center has two rooms specifically for the infant program. One room has a table with set-in chairs for eating and doing projects, cubbies for personal belongings, and space and materials for movement and play. The adjacent room has cribs for nap time. We have a hand washing station and changing table in the room.
Toddlers
The Playful Penguins room is for children about 15 months to about 2 years.
The toddlers’ room is on the far side of the gym. They have tables and chairs in their classroom for eating and doing projects, cubbies for personal belongings, and space for movement and play. They have cots/mats to lay on for nap time. We have a hand washing station and changing table in the room.
Two-Year-Olds
The Busy Bees and Dancing Dolphins rooms are for children ages 2-3 years who have turned 2 by September 1st.
The twos have a room on the far side of the gym, next to the bathroom. Their pull~ups are stored in the back of the girl’s bathroom as they have toileting facilities and a changing table located there. They have centers in the classroom and participate in circle time each day. The class focus is bathroom training and learning about group interactions.
Preschool
The Observant Owls room is for children who have turned 3 by September 1st.
Our preschool program is designed for children 3 years old (and potty trained) by September 1st. These children have the opportunity to explore, develop and interact with other children in order to build and expand social understanding and skills.
Children learn by doing. Their day is structured according to their needs and ages of the children in care. They work whole group, small group, and independently. Learning how to get along with others is hard work. This group works on large motor skills during gym time, PE time, and recess. They gain small motor coordination during centers which are designed to spark their interest and expand their skills. Choice time is given each day to encourage exploration of their world. Preschool sings, dances and plays every day!
“Jesus Time” provides an opportunity to meet Jesus, to become His friend. We pray and sing to help foster a relationship with God.
A low teacher/student ratio is maintained to enable ample supervision and hands! We plan activities to encourage and support each child’s development.
Prekindergarten
The Blossoming Butterflies room is for children who have turned 4 by September 1st.
Our Pre-K program is designed for children turning 4 prior to or on September 1st. We offer a great foundation for children going to Kindergarten the following year. Children explore, develop and interact with others in a fun, structures setting. Offering an environment where students begin to develop a lifelong love of learning is our goal.
We provide hands-on activities and personal interactions with teachers. The curriculum is carefully planned with fun activities that promote cognitive development, creative thinking and problem solving skills. We include music, PE, cooking, pre-reading skills, math, science, art, social studies and much more.
“Jesus Time” and weekly chapels provide an inviting setting to become friends with Jesus. We pray and sing daily to encourage their growing relationship with God.
A low teacher/student ratio is maintained to enable ample access to the teacher and proper supervision of the children. We plan activities with the children in mind. We encourage and support their overall development!
School Age
Zion’s Early Learning Center also manages an after-school program during the school year for older kids between ages 6 and 12 (in kindergarten or above). One or two teachers are with the children depending on the number of children and the activity planned.
Summer School Age
The school-age summer program is for children between the ages of 6 and 12 who have completed kindergarten. Our summer bunch program offers a safe, close-knit, comfortable environment where we can go on many adventures, exploring our beautiful state and learning lots of stuff along the way! We visit farms and gardens, libraries and parks among many other exciting places.
